COVID19 related changes

At the time of March 20, the coronavirus is rapidly spreading around the world, many flights have been canceled, and most countries have introduced a quarantine in one way or another. Here are the possible options that I can offer in this situation, as well as additional conditions for those who want to book a wedding, but are not sure because of the coronavirus.

For all new bookings from March 2020:

Wedding bookings until 15 of July 2020 are only possible in Israel.
To book wedding dates until 15 of July 2020, you need to make a symbolic deposit 10%, which will be refunded if it is impossible to do shooting. In case the refund implies a commission, they are deducted from the amount of the deposit.

Short photo shootings till 1 of June are also with symbolic deposit 10%. After 1 of June - with normal booking terms.

For weddings in Israel:

Actual for shootings, which are planned until the end of May 2020 inclusive.
If the situation does not change before May, it is relevant until June 15.
/UPD: from 22 of April weddings up to 20 ppl are allowed, from 15 of May weddings up to 50 ppl are allowed/

You can change the date to any other free date until 1 of May 2021 under the same terms. You need to confirm date changes before 1 of September 2020.

To change the date, I will send you a complete list of free dates, actual at the time of the request. I can temporarily reserve for you a certain date for the time of negotiations with the venue and confirmation.

In case you want to change the shooting package, this is possible by mutual agreement. It is important to consider that in January 2020 the prices on the site changed and the cost of replacing packages at new prices may be much higher, but I will try to offer you a comfortable option. Our prices are as transparent and are always available on the site.

If it is not possible to postpone the date for valid reasons (unfortunately, I am not able to word this part more correctly), I will try and do my best to offer you alternative options by mutual agreement, for example:
  • Changing the country of shooting: I shoot abroad more than in Israel and am open to absolutely any country. The most relevant destinations are Iceland, Jordan, Turkey, England, Faroe Islands, France. For countries in which I have not been - special conditions.
  • Replacing a wedding photo shoot with a love story / elopement / trash the dress in Israel.

It is important to understand that I am also responsible to all contractors (videographers, second photographers and assistants), therefore I cannot voluntarily replace your wedding reservation with a love story and leave all contractors without shooting and without prepayment.

For weddings outside Israel:

Actual for shootings, which is planned until the end of June 2020 inclusive.
If the situation does not change before 15 of June, it is relevant for shootings on July.
At the time of March 2020, crossing the border into most countries is not possible. At the same time, both I and most of you have already booked tickets, hotels and rental cars. If at the time of our shooting the borders will also be blocked, the shooting will be impossible and the airlines will return the expenses spent:

You can change the date to any other free date until 1 of May 2021 under the same terms. You need to confirm date changes before 1 of September 2020.
Important: if your shooting in Iceland or Jordan was booked under special promotional conditions, unfortunately the new conditions will be usual, or you will have to adapt to another shooting in these countries. Our prices are as transparent as possible and are always available on the site.

To change the date, I will send you a complete list of free dates, actual at the time of the request. I can temporarily reserve for you a certain date for the time of negotiations with the venue and confirmation.

In addition to moving the date, I can also offer changing the country of shooting, if my terms will be suitable:
I shoot around the world, the most relevant and using areas - Iceland, Jordan, Turkey, England, France. In any country where I have not been, I will be glad to offer special terms.
My personal wish list for 2020-2021: Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, UAE, Iran, Oman, Myanmar, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Mexico, Madagascar, Serbia, North Korea, South Korea and Japan.

It is important to understand that I am also responsible to all contractors (videographers, second photographers and assistants), therefore, in cases where they exist, I will need additional coordination with contractors to confirm the possibility of changes.

Why do not we refund the deposit?

The fact that the deposit is non-refundable is written:
1) In terms of booking.
2) In the information that I always send to whatsapp/mail.
3) In the contract.

As human, I understand everything, and for me easiest is to make refund. It was my first step first dates of March.

As a business, unfortunately, I have to monitor the situation and do same as other businesses in the current circumstances in compliance with current legal standards. Return in my case also implies technical problems that we encountered in February with an accountant and I was advised to avoid any returns. Same recommendation I got from 2 lawyers: "Offer date change, don't do refunds. After the end of the pandemic, you need to check the cases, but the reality is that at the moment this is the only option that businesses will have"

So far, no one venue has agreed to refund deposit to any of my cuoples. Instead, venues offer two to three dates as options. I offer much more options.

Even airlines, mostly, from the end of March do not return money, but return only points to the account, vouchers or offer to rebook the date one time. I personally got it with Lufthansa and Wizz Air. Since April 5, the same situation is with Aeroflot: a refund is not available for flights canceled by the airline or any other tickets.

In all countries, the state acts differently in relation to business. In Israel, the reality is that promises to help were only promises. None of the businesses I know in the same field at the time of April 12 (already a month after the borders were closed and shootings stopped) received any help. In fact, government says, "Do whatever you want, it's your problem."

Therefore, I hope for understanding and that we will find suitable options, despite the pandemic. I do not consider the option of deposit refund at the moment and do in the same way as other businesses in my field. At the moment, I keep the maximum possible date options for your changes, without planning any new projects. After pandemic will end, I'll also check way how do another businesses in my field (venues and airlines) and will do same.
And few more words
This is a very delicate question for me and I always try to be on the client's side. In February and first dates of March, I went ahead and canceled all abroad shootings, refunded deposits. Unfortunately, due to the large number of deposit options and a business opened in two countries, this turned out to be problematic:

1) In all cases, I have already paid taxes in both Israel and Russia and submitted a report for 2019. Those. I paid from 7 to 30% of taxes + all commissions of operators from 3 to 10%.

2) For a refund through PayPal, I need to have an amount in your PayPal account, and from Israel it is not possible to top up PayPal account. The technical ability to fill business account is available only from American bank accounts. Yes, it's really quite strange, but I called support 3 times to find any options, they offered me to ask friend to pay to my account, pay all Israel taxes from this bill and their commissions and after do refund, but it isn't options.

3) When paying with credit cards, the operation on our website is performed in rubles and the Refund will also be in rubles. The ruble fell by 20% at the time of March (in April even more) + the bank writes off the commission twice and twice converts your currency into rubles, total returns 35% less.
